A Silent Resistance

Shi Tuo is a famous literary novelist in the Chinese literary circles during 1930's and 1940's,he had gotten the literary prize of DaGongBao.His characteristic novels created a unique style of ironic, and this unique style of ironic not only established his own unique position in the morden starical novel history of China, but also riched the history of morden starica novel of China.This paper intend to regard his novels during 1930's and 1940's,which are the short novels of lives in town and contoury and the long novel Marry in 1940's in ShangHai, as the research object, we could study this famous writer again who was neglected,and probe his unique ironic mind and style .This paper includes four parts.In the first part I will expound an important feature of ShiTuo's early satirical novel,probing and saving the people of a Nation's Mining and spirit , which is the succession of modern China who created the satirical novel LuXun's legacy.In this chapter,mainly from two types of works discussed,the one is the rural areas against the backdrop of the central plains"deformation of Ukiyo-e",reflecting Chinese peasants'the inherent ignorance and servility,at the same time,reflecting the writer's anger and helplessness; the other is the picture of floating many cities,it reflects the sociaty's dark and the urban people's hypocrisy and ugly face.In the second part,regarding ShiTuo's local novels in this period as the research object, we discuss the second characteristic of his satirical novels, that is, building a typical rural community of the old Chinese society.This typical town of the central mainland can be seen everywhere.So it abstracts China's social refraction in the dark,and the writer's real ironic mind was raised the height of the entire national survival. The part three will discuss ShiTuo's third ironicstyle——the Lyric.We often find the writer usually discriped a little fragment of life, then used the Description of impression. So it was the scene of his own instant feelings.This had created his lyrical irony and pathos of combining Mild style.The fourth chapter describes ShiTuo's the fourth characteristics irony, as well as a change in the way language is characterized by a research object.In this charpter ShiTuo's changing narrative angle in the composition formates a satirical skills - ironic idea of composition; at the same time, his argumentative language and dialect native language in the novel formates a hetorical skills——a visual irony composition.This paper attempts to interpret ShiTuo's novels again, probe the unique artistic style of this veteran writer.Not only it is contributed to study the novels of ShiTuo comprehensively,give the writer a new location,but also it is contributed to exploe the development of Chinese modern satirical novel,as well as the development of Chinese modern satirical novel to move closer to the World satirical novel also have an important role.
