Today, healthy life, high-quality life is our pursuit. Psychology gives us a lot of help when we are pursuing happy and high-quality life. As traditional psychology makes a lot of effort on treating the psychological problems, the word"psychology"always reminds us"depress","anxiety", and"treatment". The positive psychology leads psychologists see human being on a positive way, study more on good quality of human nature, and discuss how to use our potential power, find our strong points. The goal of positive psychology is to develop ourselves in a positive state. In the every field positive psychology studies, positive emotion gets widely attention. The effect of positive emotion on cognition became a hot topic. Many studies have proved that positive emotion can broaden cognition, that is to say, under positive emotion, our thought has less restraint, and we have more chance to come up to new thoughts and behavior. Up to now, there are few studies about the relation between positive emotion and memory. Thus, the author did a research on the effort of positive emotion on explicit memory and implicit memory. The result may give more evidence for the theoretical research, and help to study the method to improve memory. The following is the main idea of the paper:In the literature review, based on the early research, the author expounded the conception and function of positive emotion; the conception and characteristics of explicit memory and implicit memory; the relation between emotion and memory, and the related theory. The author discussed more on the function of positive emotion, the characteristics of implicit memory, and emotion-cognitive theory, based on which, the questions are proposed.Based on literature review, the author proposes positive emotion may promote explicit memory and implicit memory, and in this process, gender and age may cause significant difference. Also, the author proposes that mood-congruent memory may exist in explicit memory and implicit memory. The author uses laboratorial experimentation, induced different emotion by showing different videos, takes recognition test and word-stem-completion test to study the explicit memory and implicit memory under different emotions. The statistical methods are paired sample T-test and Multivariate analysis. The results of the research demonstrate: (1) Positive emotion can obviously promote explicit memory and implicit memory. (2) There is no sexual difference in the effecting process. (3) Age may exert significant influence when positive emotion promoting explicit memory; while to the implicit memory, there is no difference between different ages. (4) We found mood-congruent memory exists both in explicit memory and implicit memory.Based on previous researches and theoretical study, the author discussed the data results of the experiment, and elucidated the patterns of how positive emotion effect memory and the possible influence factors exist in the effecting process. At the mean time, the experiment proved the existence of mood-congruent memory.
