Researches On The Structure Of "X₁＋Shi＋X₂"

This paper mainly focuses on the Chinese"X+shi+X". It analyses the characteristics of the grammar, semantics and pragmatism of this format.The paper comprises seven parts. In the first part, it mainly introduces the differences of"X+shi+X"and tautology. It also introduces the range﹑methods,target and significance of this presentation. The second part describes the achievements and primary issues of this format. It also reveals the adequacies of earlier research, but the primary job of this part is to find some creativeness. The format"X+shi+X"has been deeply discussed in the third chapter. It includes the numbers of using this format; the glossary constitutions of the 2"Xes"; two parts of speech of 2"Xes", the asymmetrical phenomena in"X+shi+X"and the part that the structure's function of syntax plays in sentences. The fourth part analyses the semantics of"X+shi+X"; the 2"Xes"and"shi"in"X+shi+X"that have been separately researched. The formats of semantics are summed up at the end. The fifth part mainly talks about the relationships between"X+shi+X"and context, and it also relates to the control and selection of the context on the"X+shi+X".At the same time, it expounds influence on the share of the context knowledge of both sides in the connection, which is a good way to understand this format. The reason that"X+shi+X"has been broadly accepted because of the language cognition is discussed in chapter6. The last part summarizes the whole thesis.
