Greenwald and Banaji of American psychologist proposed a new field—Implicit Social Cognition in 1995. He further proposed a new concept—the implicit attitude that past experiences which can not be identified precisely potentially impacts emotional orientation, cognition and behavioral responses. The Implicit Association Test (IAT) put forward by Greenwald in 1998 is currently the most effective measurement of measuring implicit attitude. It indirectly measures the implicit social attitude by evaluating relationship between the concept word and the attributive word .As a kind of personality, individual competition means the stably psychological tendency of one's cognition, attitude, strategy and motivation towards the competition.It will affect the one's habits, the way of communication, the passion for working,as well as physical and mental health. At the condition of socialist market economic, competition has penetrated into every corner of people's life. Especially since mankind enters the 21st century, competition has become more intensely. Only if people dare to compete and be good at competing can they better adapte to the development of the society. As successor of the society, only if college students establish a correct sense of competition and improve competitive capacity can they better construct the motherland. The Research of competitive attitude about college students is requirement of the time . The purpose of this article is to reveal the competitively psychological characteristics of college students in Changchun to provide a reference on resolving psychological issues of college students and a guidance for university education reform.Most of the attitudes are measured by explicit measurement. According to the Dual Attitude Model, people have both implicit attitude and explicit attitude. Therefore, if we want to fully understand the competitive attitude,we will use implicit and explicit methods to measure the competitive attitude. At present, most of the researches of competitive attitude only has measured the explicit competitive attitude, the research of implicit competitive attitude is little. Cen Yanyuan used Perference Judgment to explore the implicit competitive attitude in 2006. It has showed that people have implicit competitive attitude.The competitive attitude of college students in Changchun has not yet been studied, the Implicit Association Test has not yet been applied to measure the implicit competitive attitude,and whether the implicit competitive and explicit competitive attitude are separated has not yet been studied. The research used competitive scale of college students and the Implicit Association Test (IAT) to measure the implicit competitive and explicit competitive attitude to explore whether the implicit competitive and explicit competitive attitude are separated and whether the implicit competitive and explicit competitive attitude have remarkable difference in gender,major and source of home. The research used independent sample T-test,the paired samples T-test and the Pearson correlation analysis to analyze the experimental datas.The results of the research demonstrated: (1)The explicit competitive attitude of college students in Changchun is Lower-middle level. The level of the competitive motivation is the highest and the level of the competitive strategy is the lowest. (2) The sum of explicit competitive attitude,competitive inclination and the competitive contents of college students in Changchun has significant differences in gender , the scores of boys are higher than the scores of girls, but the competitive motivation and the competitive strategy has no significant differences in gender. (3) The sum of explicit competitive attitude,competitive inclination,competitive motivation,competitive strategy and competitive contents of college students in Changchun has significant differences has no remarkable difference in major. (3) The sum of explicit competitive attitude,competitive inclination,competitive motivation,competitive Strategy and competitive contents of college students in Changchun has significant differences has no remarkable difference in source of home. (5) The implicit competitive attitude of college students inChangchun is inclined to cooperate. (6) The implicit competitive attitude of college students in Changchun has no remarkable difference in gender. (7) The implicit competitive attitude of college students in Changchun has no remarkable difference in major. (8) The implicit competitive attitude of college students in Changchun has no remarkable difference in source of home. (9) The implicit competitive and explicit competitive attitude are not significantly correlated which indicates that the two are different kinds of psychological structure, they have different mental processing mechanisms.
