By taking the theory of second language acquisition and the theory of Chinese compound sentence as foundation,this article makes a comprehensive investigation and research for the situation of the using of Chinese cause-effect compound sentence by foreign students.Based on the results of the investigation and research,we attempt to propose some principles and methods for the teaching of Chinese cause-effect compound sentence,and hope that it could provide some valuable helps for the teaching of Chinese grammars,expecially causes-effects compound sentence teaching.The article contains five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction which introduces selecting background of this topic,the object of this study,the present situation of the research,the researching significances and aims in detail.The second chapter is error analyzes,which mainly from three aspects(grammar,semantics,language use) to try to discover regulations and reasons of the errors.The third chapter is the investigation which uses the questionnaire to make a supplement investigation,points out cases and rules of the errors,and makes a acquisition order for each sort of cause-effect compound sentence.The fourth chapter is for teaching suggestions.Accordingly to the results from this research,we attempt to propose some teaching method of Chinese compound sentence from four aspects(teaching goals,teaching difficulties.teaching principles and the teaching methods),and hope that it can be a benefit to the teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,which summaries this article'sresults,show the research limitations,and make a forecast to the future research.
