The May 4th modern vernacular literature's substitution for writings in classical style is not only the level of tool transformation, even at the deep thought and the culture changes. The creation and development of May 4th modern vernacular literature is not allowed to separated from May 4th ideological and cultural revolution. On the one hand, as the representative of the ancient classical Chinese thinking, writings in classical style is not only restricting the understanding and dissemination of Modern Western culture (especially scientific culture in modern times),but also blocking the modernized reforming of traditional Chinese thought and culture. So in the context of modern Chinese history, which always call for world-rization and modernization, classical Chinese gradually lost its effectiveness, is defined as a "dead language". But the purely traditional vernacular literature also cannot meet the time demand. they must be modified .China's modernized advancement is fundamentally a process learning from the west. Neither purely vernacular literature can carry Modern Western terms, nor the complex and sophisticated grammar structure is adapt to Western ways of thinking. Therefore, the "Europeanization" of Chinese is completely inevitable. On the other hand, language is the carrier of thought. The May 4th ideological revolution was bound to the change of language. Only the May 4th ideological revolution had went deep into the language level, can the ideological revolution could be completely implemented. The ideological or the culture revolution can carry out if only it get help from the language. The western's advanced thought infiltrated into the time-honored China, which was bound to a situation that a series of new words and phrases went into the Chinese language system. More importantly, with the May 4th ideological revolution happened, the way of Chinese thinking had changed. And the Chinese way of thinking was modernized which led to the change of Chinese grammar structure. The May 4th idea revolution and the modernized Chinese way of thinking had changed the manifestation of Chinese language and promoted the modern Chinese formation. simultaneously, the language revolution is the main outcome of the ideological revolution which must be conserved in the language. The outcome that the Western ideas had overcome the old feudal idea conserved in the process that new mode of discourse and its pattern will replace the old model of the discourse and its pattern. On the external characteristics of language, Chinese May 4th "Europeanized" was showed mainly on two aspects: Firstly, a large number of new words and phrases carrying modern western ideology were systematically translated or created. Secondly, in the range of Chinese could be allow to change, the Western grammar was referenced and transplanted into China, which changed the structure of Chinese grammar and make Chinese expression more precision. Viewing the status of modern Chinese, The present situation of modern Chinese was formed mainly because of the Vernacular's "Europeanized" of May 4th movement. A lot of words and phrases we used today which was formed in the period of May 4th or even earlier. And the grammar of modern Chinese was also constructed on the basis of the "Europeanized" Chinese Grammar of May 4th.
