Study On Gan(Jiangxi) Culture's Temporal And Spatial Evolvement And The Partition Of Gan(Jiangxi) Cultural Region

Cultural geography is a branch of human geography disciplines. The study in this area laid behind the other branches and emphasized more in cultural landscapes, cultural ecology than in cultural evolvement mechanism, including the cultural amalgamation, pervasion and the partition of cultural region. Culture evolvement mechanism reflects the track of culture's development. The partition of cultural region is propitious to analyze the inner difference on geography's point of view. By means of defining the conception of culture and the forming and developing of Gan(Jiangxi) culture on geographical point of view, we think that the temporal and spatial evolvement of Gan(Jiangxi) culture was accomplished with the local and outside cultural amalgamation. At the same time, based on the similarities and differences of cultural landscapes, selecting Jiangxi dialect, inhabitancy landscapes and custom as the guide line, the author compartmentalizes Gan(Jiangxi) cultural region. So, the study of this dissertation will substantiate cultural geography in a certain extent.The dissertation is composed of four chapters:Chapter 1, Preface: The author defines the conception of culture and Gan(Jiangxi) culture on geographical point of view, discusses the native and foreign study's accomplishments and the academic and practical significance to study of this dissertation. On the base of those, the study meaning, frame and methods of the dissertation have also been presented.Chapter 2, The temporal and spatial evolvement of Gan(Jiangxi) culture: analyzing the position, natural and societal environment of Gan(Jiangxi) culture's forming and developing on geography's point of view, The author indicates that Gan(Jiangxi) culture's temporal and spatial evolvement mechanism and reflects it on maps. The Gan(Jiangxi) culture's characteristic was indicated distinctively.Chapter 3, The partition of cultural region: Based on the study accomplishments of scholars, selecting Jiangxi dialect, inhabitancy landscapes and custom as the guide line, the author compartmentalizes Gan(Jiangxi) cultural region into Ganbei-Ganxibei cultural region, Gandongbei cultural region, Ganzhong-Ganxi cultural region, Gandong cultural region and Gannan cultural region. On the base of it, the kernel and periphery of each cultural region is further compartmentalized.Chapter 4, The conclusion and discussion: To summarize the main conclusions of this dissertation to discuss the need for further research to improve the questions and suggestions.
