The Collection Of Sound-Painting And Poets On Mountain And River Landscape Painting In Song Dynasty

Collection of Sound—Painting, the collection of poems on painting edited by Sun Shao-yuan in South-Song Dynasty, ranged a variety of poems on painting in Tang and Song dynasty into eight volumes and twenty-six kinds. It is very especial among poems collection edited by people in Tang or Song Dynasty. The collection, the earliest collection of poems on painting so far, supply very valuable documentaries about poetry on painting and painting in Tang or Song dynasty for us. But so far, there have not been research writing about Collection of Sound Painting, and there have been a few of the research article. So we should put up research on Collection of Sound Painting, and the research is very essential. The thesis researches poems on painting in Song according to poets on mountain and river landscape painting and Collection of Sound Painting. I am going to discuss the relation between mountain and river landscape painting and scholars'life interest and art principle in the middle-latter reign of North Song according to mountain and river landscape painting in Collection of Sound-Painting.The thesis will research the collection of poets on painting from four facets. First, I discuss why Sun Shao-yuan edited the collection ,what his contention and intention is ,how he rang the poems and how he chose and edit poets on mountain and river landscape painting. Second,I center about painters and poets in the middle-latter reign of North Song according to paintings and poems in the collection, farther I research the status of development and scholars'attitude about mountain and river landscape painting, including composers of mountain and river landscape painting in the middle-latter reign of North Song, scholars'commentary on mountain and river landscape painting and the reason why poets composed poems on paintings. Third, I discussed how does mountain and river landscape painting poems and paintings——two different arts——integrate in poems on painting,including how poets in Song Integrated poems and paintings in theory and practice, how Sun's aesthetic viewpoint on"knowing painting according to poem and knowing poem according to painting"was understood. Finally, I research documentary value of Collection of Sound-Painting, including collating and compiling, literary documentary and painting documentary.Poetry on painting involves painting and poetry, two different kinds of art form. If I discuss poems about poetry on painting primarily and paintings are subsidiary to poems, I will inevitably limit the range of research vision. On the research of the collection , the key point is that painting and poetry can not be discussed separately. I will research the relationship between poetry to painting. So this thesis not only observe poetry on painting in literary criticism, more importantly, research the relationship between poetry to painting from the perspective of painting development. This thesis not only focus on the characteristics of poetry from the point of literary criticism ,but rather study the development of painting and poetry in the middle-latter reign of North Song according to Collection of Sound-Painting under the broader cultural and social background. It is help to understand scholars'attitude to painting at the time, the interaction of painting and poetry and scholars'life interesting.
