Vocational education, having cultivated millions of talented people with applied skills for every walk of life, has been developing rapidly and has achieved a lot since 1980s. Vocational students are special group receivers in higher education. During the process of development, it is inevitable to encounter some difficulties, bewilderment and perplexity. As teachers, it is our responsibility to help the students to be mature in healthy environment. The author takes an example of Yiyang Vocational and Technical College to study higher vocational students' states and strategies of psychological health education.The thesis has a questionnaire research for students in Yiyang Vocational and Technical College by using a self-evaluation symptom table. This research includes vocational students'cognitive status, studying status and personal relationships, through which it finds that the main problem of their mental health is because of self-contempt, study -disgusting, the impropriety of dealing with others, fierce employment pressure, loving affairs and cyberspace behavior etc.Through analysis, the author finds some primary reasons of these problems come from society, families, students themselves and colleges. On the basis of these, some countermeasures are provided to overcome self-contempt : to improve activity of study; to take advantage of internet for learning; to set up a proper attitude for love; to develop mental health education of employment ; to get constant relation between college and parents and to optimize familial education environment, etc.
