The Research Of Acquisition Type Of Double-Object Structure In Modern Chinese

The reseach of double-object structure highly attracts linguists'attention. Previous studies emphasize on the offer type and its related verbs. This paper focuses on the acqusition type of double-object structure, makes a thorough analysis from the static state and dynamic state. The paper is devided into six chapters.Chapter one is the preface of the paper. It introduces the purpose and significance of the paper, also concludes a comprehensive analysis which is related to this thesis.Chapter two analyzes the acquisition type of double-object structure and related verbs. According to construction grammar theory, we define the central meaning and extended meaning of the structure, then designate verbs which can enter the structure and divide them into five types.Chapter three we studies on the syntax and semantic types of the structure. Analyze the semantic role restricts to the three arguments, then describe the different syntax and semantic behaviors of the five types.Chapter four we make a thorough investigation of the structure in real contexts. We use the methodology of case study to observe the applied frequency and range of the structure, then explain it with cognitive linguistics theory.Chapter five we investigate the generation mechanism of the structure and its meaning. We use cognitive linguistics and construction grammar theories to form the generation of acquisition type of double-object structure. With the interaction of verb structure and the sentence structure, the sentence meaning emerges.Chapter six is the conclusion. We summarize our viewpoints, explain the value and the innovation of this thesis. Still there are some problems unsolved. We hope we can go deeper with this research later.
