Owing to the people attach importance to the problem about the mental health, more and more researcher investigates the factors which impact the mental health. There are many investigations concerning the life events and the coping styles, but the researchers rarely work over the relationship among the life events, the coping styles and the mental health. Studying this topic not only can make up the shortages , but also have certain instruction value to the mental health work of the school, having the dual meaning of the theories and practice.To explore the relationship among the senior students'life events, the coping styles and the mental health status, I administered a total of 302 senior student by Adolescent Self-rating Life Events Checklis(tASLEC), Coping Style Questionnaire(CSQ), Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90) .Results:1. When they are confronted with a different kind of life events, the senior students lean to use positive coping styles. The senior students in Chengdu have relatively healthy mentality.2. Primary negative life events to the senior students is"the press of study"and"human relationship". There are significant differences of"the rest"and"chastisement"in different genders. There is a significant difference of"the press of study"in different grades; there are significant differences of"chastisement","beravement","healthiness"in different schools.3. The leading coping styles which the senior students adopt is"settling the problem","illusion","appealing"and"retreating". The study indicates: there are significant differences of"rationalization","settling the problem"and"appealing"in different genders; there are no significant differences of six genes in different grades; there is a significant difference of"settling the problem"in different schools.4.The level of mental health concerning the senior students is hyper-midding. There is no a significant difference of the level of mental health in different genders, grades , but there is a distinct difference of the level of mental health in different schools.5. There is a positive correlation between the life events and the mental health. There is a negative correlation between the mature coping with style (settling the problem and appealing) and mental health. There is a positive correlation between the immature coping with style (remorse, illusion, retreating) and mental health .6. Pluralistic regression analysis:"illusion","human relationships","condemning","settling the problem","the press of study"and"the rest"come into the regression formula."Illusion"and"human relationships"preferably dope out the mental health."Condemning","settling the problem","the press of study"and"the rest"have unconspicuous effects."Settling the problem"has a positive effect on the mental heath, but"the rest"genes have a passive effect on the mental health.
