Several years ago more and more schools began to pay more attention to the education of thestudents’ psychological health, yet till now the results are not so good. What is the reason? I thinkour idea has a big deviation in the education. With the rise of the active psychology, we graduallyknow that the traditional psychological health education is one kind of passive and morbideducation. Under the guidance of this educational idea, only a few students who have psychologicaltroubles can receive the guidance and education. The general aim of the psychological healtheducation in《The Guidance Outline of Psychological Health Education to the Primary and MiddleSchools (Revised in2012)》is “To enhance all students’ psychological qualities, to train their active,optimistic, healthy and making-way-up psychological characters, to fully develop theirpsychological potentials, to actuate the harmonious and sustainable development of the students’body and mind so as to lay the basis to their healthily growing-up and their happy life in the future.”So it is to demand us to do our psychological healthy education work in a way of taking precautions,at the same time from mainly caring for very few students for curing their psychological troubles tomainly caring for developing the active psychological health characters of all students.In the sample research to the primary and middle schools in Xingtai City we find that mostschools and their teachers are doing lagging-behind guidance to the students and their troubles; only3schools have psychological health activity class and almost few schools in Xingtai Region aredoing psychological guidance job to all students. So we can see that it is a heavy task to do thepsychological guidance to all students and we must at once put the job on the agenda. It is verysignificant to do the research work of how to train the students’ psychological characters and how toapply the research results.Our research is under the guidance of active psychology and adopting the way of grouppsychological guidance, through the main channal of psychological health activity class to discussthe effects of the group psychological guidance to improve the students’ active psychologicalcharacters and to eliminate the psychological troubles of the junior middle-school students in orderto train the active psychological characters of junior middle-school students to make them healthilyand totally develop; at the same time to find out and set an operational and effective pattern ofpsychological health activity class. We hope to invent a new method to do the psychological health educational work and enlarge the applicative field of the group psychological guidance.Our research first adopted a method of documents’ summarizing to sum up the concepts andrelative researches at home and abroad about active psychology, active psychological healtheducation and group psychological guidance. Then we designed the structure and the contents of theactive psychological activity class and how to put them into practice. Finally we used SPSS19.0toanalyse the data of the experimental classes and the comparative classes. The results are as follows:(1) There is a notable difference in9factors (somatology, self-coerce symptoms, sensitivity tointerpersonal relations, depressed, anxious, hostility, horror, stubbornly biased, mental disorder)and other items (sleep, diet etc.) on the Symptoms Self-evaluating Questionnaire SCL-90between the experimental classes and the comparative classes; there is a very notable differencein the scores of the9factors and other items.(2) Among the15active psychological characters (creativity, desire for knowledge, thinking andseeing-through capability, sincerity, persevering, love, friendship, leading capability,co-operating capability, tolerant, modest, prudent, soul-touching, humour, conviction) in the6demensions (recognizing ability, emotion ability, interpersonal ability, citizen ability, ability toavoid extreme force and the ability to link with the greater world of spirit or meaning) on theMiddle-school Student Psychological Health Questionnaire (MSSMHS) between theexperimental classes and the comparative classes, there is only notable difference on the scoresof desire for knowledge, the other factors all have a rising trend.According to the results of the experiments we have drawn some conclusions:(1)If themiddle-school students have psychological health activity classes, their psychological troublescan be got out of, and the classes can be effective to train the active psychological characters ofthe students.(2)The classes have educational functions of precautions and development and arevery significant to the psychological growing-up of the students.(3)To train activepsychological characters is not a one-day task but is a long-term one to the educational workers.It is a hard task for the educational workers from primary schools to universities.
