Being the important part of written language, punctuation mark is also the important content of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. This paper investigates sixty articles by foreign students for Wuhan University about the use of punctuation mark, inspects some main characteristics on how they learn Chinese Punctuation mark and analyzes the using features of punctuation mark in Chinese text books as L2. At the same time, this paper makes an inquiry into the causes and types about errors of punctuation's writing appearance, punctuation's writing pattern and punctuation's using functions.The language materials analysis which collects from this article, foreign student's Chinese punctuation mark service condition has the following several characteristics: First, uses punctuation mark type entire; Second, harms the service condition to be very common, by mistake various; Third, punctuation marks and so on period harm the phenomenon to have certain universality; Fourth, the same mother tongue system harms the phenomenon to be similar; Fifth, the punctuation mark form grasps not ideally; Sixth, punctuation mark's function is used is not comprehensive. The overall, foreign student's Chinese punctuation mark service condition is not very ideal. The low Chinese proficiency's foreign student easy to present Chinese punctuation mark to write harms the situation, the medium and high Chinese proficiency's foreign student presented Chinese punctuation mark function to use harms the situation.When in discusses these to harm the reason which the phenomenon produces, the author believed that the learner has possibly received the mother tongue negative migration_influence language, as well as, because has not brought to learner's attention to present careless writing, finally caused the part to harm the phenomenon the occurrence. Regarding presents in the function use to harm the phenomenon, then more is because the learner has not mastered the use rule which and the related grammar knowledge Chinese punctuation tallies. Besides learner own reason, the author also believed that the educational world does not take seriously Chinese punctuation mark teaching, in addition instructing negligence and teaching material not, when demonstrates, is also causes these to harm the reason essential factor which the phenomenon often appears. It can be said that all these reasons interweave in the same place, caused foreign student Chinese punctuation mark each kind of use to harm the phenomenon together.At last, this paper makes some suggestions about how to improve the teaching method of punctuation to foreign students studying Chinese as L2.
