College tutors plays an important role in current employment guidance pattern for college students. but few of the evaluation index and standard research on this special groups employment guidance quality in domestic currently. Therefore, based on the college tutors for research object, the related research including:First, based on the literature, Unstandardized Interviews and Behavioral Event Interview, we construct the theoretical model of college tutors'competency for providing employment guidance. And then we made the questionnaire for providing employment guidance competence of college tutors, with which we test 184 tutors form 11 colleges in Shanxi province. After analyzing the factors, we got 12 factors, that is, aware of policy knowledge, theoretical knowledge on employment guidance, experiments, ability of practice, ability of observations and discrimination, ability of communication, ability of organization, cognitive, affective, behavioral intentions, personality quality and emotional character. The self-made questionnaire was proved to be good reliability and validity.Secondly, using the normal distribution sd method, make the five hierarchies evaluation standards of total and four dimensions.Then, we investigate the ability for providing employment guidance of 111 college tutors in five universities in Shanxi. Results show that:1. Most college tutors touch average lever; 2. There have no marked difference in sex and degree, when college tutors'competency for providing employment guidance were concerned; 3. There have marked difference in age, title and length of career time. Hence we conclude that self-location and experiments play's a important role in providing employment guidance.Finally, we discussed the significance of this study for employment guidance. And put forward some suggestions:1. It is a long-term work to construct and modify the employment guidance; 2. Sex and educational background should not become offence in choose tutor for employment guidance; 3. Colleges and universities need to set up a full-time job in employment guidance counselor; 4. Make more opportunities to training employment guidance counselor; 5.Colleges should take effective measures to to keep from the decrease of college tutors.
