Application Of Communicative Approach In Oral English Teaching

The author tries to combine a communicative approach with teaching practice explore communicative approach teaching method.It is not only to improve the students'study interest, to practice their oral English ability but also improve their learning abilities.Based on the Communicative Approach, the author has made a ten-week action research in Class Three, Grade 2008, a class of foreign-oriented major in LeShan Vocational and Technical College. In the whole research process, the author collected the data in different channels, such as questionnaire, teaching log etc. Besides, different teaching ways of Communicate Approach had used during the ten weeks and some adjustments on teaching content have been done according to the actual situation in implementation. The figures in the final analyses show that including of students'interests, confidence and efficiency been rapidly improved. The research result in this thesis reveals that Communicative Approach is a useful and practical way to propel the development of the oral English teaching in higher vocational education.
