The special books'grammatical research is the basis on the history of Chinese grammatical research, it can provide a reliable and solid historical data for us to build the system of the medieval Chinese grammar. The Southern and Northern Dynasties serves as a connecting link between the Pre-Qin Dynasties and the Tang and Song Dynasties, it is the transforming period of the Chinese language'development. In this period, Chinese grammar developed rapidly. Sou Shen Ji(搜神记)is the representative work of the ghost novels in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, it reflects the medieval Chinese language, and is an important book for us to research the medieval Chinese grammar. So many academic research achievement about Sou Shen Ji(搜神记),but mostly is around the parts of speech research, as well as Zhou Shengya Sou Shen Ji Language Studies. The research on sentences just can be found on few papers. The Sou Shen Ji(新辑搜神记)is sort out and select from the original Sou Shen Ji and other similar books by Li Jianguo. Today the research achievement about Sou Shen Ji(新辑搜神记)mostly around the parts of speech or some particular sentence patterns, no any other papers has discussed the passive sentences. In order to fill up with this blank, I am going to do an exhausting research on the passive sentences of the Sou Shen Ji(新辑搜神记),explore and summarize the characteristics and rules of the grammar, it provides a reliable and solid historical data for the research. Beside this, the author also make a comparison with the original Sou Shen Ji, and ordered the year of the two books.This thesis contents four parts:the first part is simply review the state of study done by the former scholars, then establishes the dividing standard for the passive sentences of Sou Shen Ji(新辑搜神记),it can be divided into two categories:marked sentences and unmarked sentences. In the second part, the author to do a fully statistical analysis of the passive sentences. Divides the two categories sentences into five categories, and make a concrete analysis of each category, in order to sum up the grammatical characteristics of the passive sentences of the Sou Shen Ji. The third part is the contrast analysis between the Sou Shen Ji and the original Sou Shen Ji. The author has analyzed the passive sentences in the original Sou Shen Ji, then made a comparison between the two books, to summarize the development of passive sentences in the Middle Ancient period and ordered the year of the two books. The last part is the historical location of the passive sentences of Sou Shen Ji. The author has a statistical analysis of the passive sentences in the different historical periods. Then choose some representative works to compare and analyze, in order to summarize the historical development and the grammatical characteristics of the passive sentences.
