The Research On Urban Color Visual Recognition

Urban color visual recognition is the subject of this article. It starts with color of the city, bases upon the image recognition system of the city and features a collection of multi-disciplinary knowledge to derive new theoretical method. The paper analyzes the status of city's color at home and abroad, and shows the importance of the dominant factors which urban color as to create the urban environment and establish urban image, with putting the color building of Zhengzhou City as a new theory's practice carrier.Urban color as the first visual crucial identification of city image have been studied by many scholars. Now most of the urban color building is centering on urban color planning, so the theory of urban color planning is one of the theoretical basis which the research of urban color visual recognition centers on. Corporate Identity (CI) as an effective means of corporate operations management and culture propaganda have created many business miracles, and this also has great theoretical reference to the research of the current urban image recognition. With a deep summary and discussion about urban color planning and urban visual identification design, we have come to raise a new theoretical method of advancing urban image construction more appropriately——urban color visual recognition.Urban color visual recognition uses urban theme color, urban background color, urban interface color, urban logo color, urban life color as the research elements, makes the urban image outside with color effective recognition, and makes the city's image even more intuitive expression. For example, the urban theme color is a kind of location to the city's urban functions and cultural characteristics, and it is the most direct medium that people perceive images of the cities by, which is different from previous proposed city main colors. we make urban theme color, urban background color, urban interface color, urban logo color, urban life color as the researchful and practical orientation of urban color visual recognition when identifying urban color concrete. In analyzing Zhengzhou city color visual identity design, we made a confirmatory discuss about the new theoretical method proposed in this paper, showed signs that new theory could be implemented from the urban theme color, urban background color, urban interface color, urban logo color, urban life color respectively, and finally used the Renmin Road in Zhengzhou as the case designed to illustrate that the innovative point of view and operation method of urban color visual recognition was to be practicable.
