Research On The Media Supervision In China

This article regards the media supervision as one important way of supervision used in modem democratic countries. To develop socialist democratic politics in China, a healthy and sound system of democratic supervision system is needed. The media supervision itself is an important form of modem democracy A and a way to develop socialist democratic politics. As a result, the study on Chinese media supervision has its important theoretical value and realistic meaning. Under the guidance of Deng Xiaoping's Theory, this article, using the basic principles of Administration, Management, Journalism, Politics, Economics, Law, explains the past and present situation of the media supervision in China. It also probes into the principles and measures on how to improve and enhane the media supervision in China. The basic conclusions of this article are that without the media supervision, the development of democratic politics in China couldn抰 have a sound democracy, not to mention other forms of democracy. Consequently, from now on, while abiding by the principles of Party spirit, seeking truth from facts, fair and equality, effect-stressing and the four basic principles, we need to improve and enhance the media supervision form the following metholds. They are reforming the system of media supervision, perfecting its legal system, strengthening its mechanism, constructing a journalist staff of high quality, improving the effect of the media supervision and building up s good circumstance. In order to improve and enhance the media supervision, this article tries to study the current situation in China. It puts forward that we need to set up an independent organization leaded by the organ of power and keep its independence to change the former systematical jurisiction. We should also raise the media supervision to a higher level. This calls for open administrative affairs and a supervision under the people.
