| Along with the invention and development of the network technology, the usageof information resources affects more on people's daily life than ever before.This paper proposes concepts of resource-oriented management informationsystem and introduces dynamic interactive network development technique,especially the application of ASP technology in management information system.This paper also presents development trend of dynamic network technologiessuch as PHP and JSP.The paper reviews the classical development methods in software engineeringand introduces the most up-to-date research results in the software developmentarea, emphasizing the UML (the Unified Modeling Language). The recursiveincremental development method of UML and flexible software developmenthave been widely used in system design and development, while the recursivemethod has been an important warranty of quality software. CMM, the mostpopular and practical standard for software development, has been recognized bythe international software industry and has become the essentia1 element of masssoftware production. It can significantly improve the efficiency of the process4P4u.the opality of prOducts, In practice, information systqps developmentinvolves the aPplication of multiple software development methods. Asatisfactory system can be produced by combining the development approachesand design methods proposed in this paper with the practical situation ofindividual prOjects.At the end, the paper presents a successful example in engineering informationmanagement system that employed the discussed methods in analysis, planning,designing and development of the project. The system supports informationquery in static, dynamic and interactive modes. Taking into account thetechnical strength of the development organization and users' ability in handlingof computer software application, the system is developed based on MicrosoftASP technology and SQL database server, and greatly satisfies users'requirements.
