| Shipping Maintenance is the indispensable part in the shipping technology management to guarantee the safety of ships and the high efficiency of shipping.For the purpose of planning effectively shipping maintenance and raising the quality of ship technology management, this dissertation studies the design and implementation of Shipping Maintenance DSS (SMDSS) with object oriented ideology and visualization method. Firstly, by analyzing the histories and actualities of shipping equipment management this article reviews the necessity and feasibility of SMDSS based on pertinence maintenance. Secondly, the general design of SMDSS is recommended and Model Visualization technology is addressed in studying model management and Data Warehouse-Based management methods are used to manage database. Finally, the implementation of SMDSS is presented.This dissertation is to further the theories of ship technology management and informationization and systematization of shipping enterprises.
