In the new market economy, companies are facing heavier and heavier pressure in improving their competition potency and enlarging their profit from customers. Therefore, they not only need to keep original customers but also to bring in new customers. This requirement yielded the concept of CRM (Customer Relationship Management). CRM is one of the most powerful weapons to promote their competitiveness.This dissertation, basing on CRM and some techniques from data warehouse, is dealing with the problem of freight distribution for a freight distribution center. More emphasis is placed on solving the problem of materialized view maintenance algorithms for various types of data sources. Under introducing of some auxiliary views, a success has been achieved in proposing the self-maintenance and optimization algorithms after analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of several view maintenance algorithms that are used currently.In the end of the dissertation, an example is given in applying the algorithms to the freight distribution center of a company. It has been discussed in detail that the process of view self-maintenance including insertion, deletion and update to data source. A solution was presented to enable the materialized view at the distribution center and to keep consistency with the data at the data sources.
