The Research Of Genetic Algorithms's Application In Decesion Support Systems

At present, Decision Support Systems (DSS) tend to combine with Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, thus the concept of Intelligent Decision Support Systems (IDSS) is put forward. People have committed themselves to boosting up the efficiency of DSS for about thirty years. Now, the focus of DSS research is changing from the expert-based DSS into the model systems of IDSS, operation interface, knowledge transaction cell, IDSS generator and distributed IDSS. Lots of advanced AI techniques such as machine learning, knowledge representation, pattern identification, genetic algorithms and distributed intelligent systems have been applied to the research ofDSS.As a new idea and optimization method, Genetic Algorithms (GA) have wide application future in various fields. The theme of this paper is studying how to improve the efficiency of DSS with GA , and designing a practical DSS integrated in MIS.The application of GA in DSS is developing, the main form of it will be the combination with other AI techniques. It's significant for manager's to make scientific and reasonable decisions.
