Chinese silk industry has experienced years of development, and especially after the innovation its productivity, technology and researching level have reached a certain altitude. The investigation of this paper evidently showed that the output of the raw silk of our country has occupied more than 70 percent of the raw silk output of the world. The variation grade has improved rapidly and the gap in raw silk between our country and Brazil or Japan is decreased. But there is deficiency in the cleanness and neatness of the Chinese raw silk. In order to overcome the deficiency we must commence on the quality of cocoon. With the rapid growing GDP, the silk industry in the east part of China faces the raise of the human resource cost and glebe charge, which makes the development superiority characterized with labor compression of the silk industry decreased gradually. The west will turn into the material and beginning process base of the Chinese silk industry. In the next few years, because of the difference between the east and the west, the silk industry will become the necessary part of the national economy. We should make full use of the abundant resource and the imbalance of the economy development between the east and the west to adjust the whole structure of the silk industry to activate it. It can make the Chinese silk industry develop healthily and continually and carry forward the Chinese silk culture and history.
