| The fact that the blooming of cyberspace brings about challenges to ideological education is well understood. On the basis of a survey of the notion,history and technological and cultural features of cyberspace,the thesis probes the influences that it imposes on humanity,social communication and man's socialization;analyzes new features and opportunities it brings about;and formulates new strategies for fulfilling the requirements of ideological education in a new era. The thesis emphasis the importance of application of the Rule of Virtue in supervising cyberspace and concludes that ideological education concerning it shall be at the service of full-scale development of human beings.
