A Study On The Tourism Thoughts And Practices Of Lu Zuofu

Lu Zuofii is a famous patriotic industrialist, educationist and countryside construction theoretician in the modern times of China. He was praised as one of the four industrialists who can't be forgotten in the modern times of China by Mao Zedong. He did remarkable contribution in the industry and education, and he can be rated as a forerunner of tourism development, even a tourism thinker in the modern times of China. Lu Zuofu advanced his super-era understanding of the tourism in his writings and tourism practices. He made a large quantity of tour himself, organized many times of group-tour, and conducted the development of scenic spot in the three gorges area of the Jialing River. This thesis will discuss these aspects in details from the point-view of tourism subject. And the author hopes we can draw some inspiration from Lu Zuofu's tourism thoughts and practices for today's tourism development in the west of China.This thesis consists of two parts: preface and main body.In the preface, the author gives an overall account of Lu Zuofu, gives a brief summary of the present study situation on Lu Zuofu and on personage tourism thoughts, and then explains the original intention for writing this thesis.In the main body, three topics are discussed.1. the tourism thoughts of Lu Zuofu. In this part, the article mainly summarizes Lu Zuofu's tourism thoughts from his writings and tourism practices. Lu Zuofu advanced his far-reaching foresight and sagacity to the fundamental essential factor and the effect of tourism, aggregate tourism plan and development, the social environment and the infrastructure of tourism development, the propaganda and sale promotion of tourism, and so on.2. the tourism practices of Lu Zuofu. This part recounts Lu Zuofu's tourism practices from the following respects the tourism practices Lu Zuofu himself did, the group-tours which Lu Zuofu organized, the tourism development Lu Zuofu did and the administration of scenic spot, etc.3. the inspiration drawn from the tourism thoughts and practices of Lu Zuofu for today's tourism development in the west of China. This is the intention of this thesis, that is to say, produces some experiences for our today's tourism development. What Lu Zuofu did in those years and the tourism thoughts he put forward have their limitations because of the times, but his much thoughts on tourism and experiences on tourism development still are worth us using for reference.
