Geopolitics has been widely used as a new theoretical frame in the research of international strategy. As a neighbor to China and with its continuing development in economics, military and foreign affairs, India has become an important part in the world structure and played more and more important role in the geopolitics of China.Because of the historical factors, the Sino-India relationship has not been smooth and sometimes even a war broke out between them, which is harmful to the long-term interests of the two countries. The Chinese government has been dedicated to develop a friendly neighbor relationship with India on the basic of the five principles of peace and coexistence, to enhance the cooperation with India in developing economics, against terrorism, and promoting world new structure, hence to improve the comprehensive relation with India and create a peaceful surrounding environment for the development of our country. In this article, the author makes a comprehensive review of the Sino-India relationship on the past and at the present, gives an analysis on advantage and disadvantage factors influencing the relation between the two countries, and brings some suggestions on how to enhance the cooperation with India and resolve the disputes between them.
