Study On Developing Strategy Of Liaoning Forestry In 21st Century

After WTO accession of China and coming of the new century, global ecology and environment are deteriorating severely. As economy of China continued developing, consumption of natural resources was increasing, the quality of forestry resources degraded, the functions of forest ecology were gradually weakened, disastrous floods occurred in The Yangtze River, Songhua River and Nenjiang River. Meanwhile, floods also happened in the Hunhe River systems of Liaoning province in the 1990s of late 20th century, and droughts in western regions of Liaoning have threatened the whole province. These facts of ecological and environmental worsening were influencing regional economic development.hi this paper, on the basis of state-of-the-art development trends of forestry in our country and other countries and taking the 21st century as eco-century, by using ecological theory, sustainable development theory and engineering theory of systems, and Liaoning was regarded as a big system, the functions of Liaoning forestry in the system were studied, the sustainable development strategies, such as the relationship of population and forests, optimal coverage rates of regional forests were discussed. Finally, the developing strategies of Liaoning forestry in the 21st century were mapped out, namely, based upon advantages of forestry in Eastern areas, upgrading the forestry development in central regions, moving ahead into western parts gradually, increasing the vegetation coverage by using moods of moving of forest climate, in the end the ecological situations of Liaoning province would be changed thoroughly.
