Research On The Planning And Design Of Modern Logistics Information System

With the development of modem science and technology, modern logistics industry has advanced into an informationalization era of logistics activities in which web technology and E-Commerce play the major roles. In the developed countries, logistics industry has become an independent industry and functioned significantly in national economy, while in our country, logistics industry is just at its starting point.After our country entered WTO, modern logistics industry is confronted with new opportunities and challenge as well. It will inevitably develop into a supporting industry in central cities and the building of information in logistics system will be a key factor in the development of logistics industry.After analyzing the logistics industry in central cities, the thesis defines the logistics information system in central cities. It also puts forward that the logistics information system in central cities must be based on the E-Government system, and it combines organically with the public logistics information system, logistics trading system, enterprise information systems through computer information network, and finally a comprehensive computer information network will be constructed.The thesis also illustrates the inter-relationship among logistics, E-Commerce and E-Government.To further the research, the function of public logistics system and logistics trading system are analyzed, and the major module of the systems and the organizations and structures of the data are defined. To start with, the thesis constructs a logistics field network. Then E-Government system, public logistics information system, logistics trading system and various logistics field networks are linked together though Internet to construct the logistics information system in central cities.The research will direct the building of information system of logistics industry in cities to some extent.
