It is necessary for moral education reform. There are two basic reasons. One is that China is restructuring her social structure; the other1 is that moral education is so intricate that it still has too much undiscovered truths and regularities. So this research tries its best to find a new way of moral education reform through thinking about history and reality.As an academic research, its methodology is historical materialism of Marxism. In order to explore the interaction and cause-effect relation between reconstruction of viewpoints on benefit and righteous and moral education reform, some specific methods include historical analysis of the viewpoint of benefit and righteous which are hidden in literatures, sociological analysis on realities of China, psychological analysis on new approaches to moral education reform.Most of the available researches explores within moral education. This one finds its way from outside of moral education to inside. Social environment is the background of the research. The Ethics is the basicstructure in which the viewpoint on benefit and righteous------which isthe focus of social attention and the core of the traditional Chinese ethics category------is discussed. There are six chapters.1) The difficult position of moral education. The difficult realitiesare given firstly, such as empiricism of moral education management, knowledgism of moral education research, formalism of moral education assessment. Then, the possible outlet about the problems of moral education are presented, which is go from outside of moral education to inside of it against the popular model just on the contrary to the former.2) The viewpoint on benefit and righteous is the focus of both social realities and traditional Chinese ethics. The importance and necessity of the reconstruction of the viewpoint on benefit and righteous is analyzed.3) Historical viewpoints on benefit and righteous and moral education. It is detailed descriptions about the historical viewpoint on benefit and righteous and the viewpoint about moral education influenced by the former that mainly form this chapter. A number of important problems are given. And so is the significance of historical contents, methods and principles of moral education. This part is one of the most chief bases of restructuring of viewpoint on benefit and righteous.4) Social realities and civilian's viewpoint on benefit and righteous of China nowadays. From a sociological perspective, some kinds of conflicts are discussed, e.g. conflicts between the east and the west, the tradition and the contemporary and the economy and the moral. Theymay be solved by the clarification of two deferential fields------economyand ethics, and by the push of new economical orders to restructuring moral orders. Social reform brings common people's psychological conflicts. The stable beliefs on core moral are base of viewpoints of benefit and righteous.5) A theoretical reconstruction of viewpoint on benefit and-2-righteous. New viewpoint on benefit and righteous should resist egoism, hold the unity of opposites of benefit and righteous, and structuring a system of viewpoint of benefit and righteous, including belief, morality and code of conduct. This new system ought to originate from history and realities. And it should cause the change of moral education context, methods and object.6) School moral education reform under the new system of viewpoint on benefit and righteous. As a theoretical research, it pays much attention to macro perspective not the specific and detailed problems, and may be useful to moral education reform. There are four parts which are moral education and belief, moral conduct and moral experience, ration and value construction, and personality's self integration.
