The Solution To Modern Logistics Under Electronic Commerce In China

The year of 2000 saw the speeding development of Chinese cyber economy as well as the violent storm in the E-commerce. E-commerce went from heated expansion to desolate depression and from visual definition to survival struggle. Its essential reason is that logistics cannot adapt to the new characteristics of E-commerce. This has led to the result that people come to suspect the usefulness of E-commerce as an advanced production power and even contemplate about disposing it. Logistics is an important part of E-commerce. Without the modernized logistics, E-commerce is incomplete. This paper tries to propose solution for Chinese modern logistics under E-commerce so as to match it with the sound development of E-commerce.Firstly, this paper demonstrates the relation between the E-commerce and logistics. On one hand, E-commerce has changed the operation way of logistics and raised its importance. On the other hand, logistics is the vital part of E-commerce and plays the key role in carrying out the E-commerce. In the meantime, the development of logistics has supported the rapid development of E-commerce. Secondly, the paper analyzes the reasons for the bottleneck in logistics that constrains the development of E-commerce and lists the specific phenomenon. After consultation with the successful experience of USA and the two cases of Haier (internal redesigned logistics in manufacturer) and Baogong (professional third party logistics company) that are successful compared with other Chinese companies, the paper proposes the solution for Chinese modern logistics under E-commerce in the end.In my opinion, there may be totally new thinking about logistics, but we cannot set up a completely new system without the old bases. We can only transform and integrate the existed bases of logistics step by step and promote the new logistics system by converting the mode of logistics. The solution I advance in this paper is that the construction of software and hardware should be strengthened to set up the moderniidistribution system of logistics; the third party logistics should be developed to realize the industrialized and social of distribution system, which will be the most outstanding reform of logistics in the E-commerce era; the rational and effective distribution program of logistics should be drafted; logistics majors should be fostered; laws and regulations about logistics should be formulated; cooperation with foreign countries should be strengthened in order to absorb their advanced ideas and technology of logistics.It is an urgent task to transform the traditional logistics to modern logistics with E-commerce. I hope the solution under the E-commerce I propose will be of any help. This is my exact purpose to prepare this paper.
