A Study Of Rural Social Insurance Funds For The Aged In China

This thesis is a research accomplishment on rural social insurance funds for the aged in China. With a deep understanding of the reality and existing situation, the author has raised constructive, practical and opera-tional suggestions with regard to possible future measures.The thesis is composed of six parts: Introduction, Analysis of the Present Situation, Measures of Enhancing Funds, Financial Models, Fund Management and Investment, and Conclusion. The Introduction summari-zes the positive results obtained from studying present rural social security systems, outlines the problems which require a resolution, and informs readers about the author's research background and methods. The Analy-sis of The Present Situation summarizes the progress of reform of China's rural social security systems and analyses the stark reality confronting the reform. The third part discusses a series of measures concerning how to enhance rural social insurance funds for the aged. Part four, Financial Models, focuses on raising capital. Here, the author's major points of view and suggestions concerning countermeasures that should be taken are "1 + X" financial models.
