Research Of The Regional Innovation System

As the new century has arrived, people are stepping into a knowledge economy epoch. Innovation, which has been regarded the motive and the spirit of the knowledge economy, has been recognized by more and more people. At present, the national innovation system has gradually become a hot media topic, and studying the regional innovation system from the system angle and the nation innovation system approach is a work of great theoretical and realistic meanings in enriching the innovation theory and developing the region economic.This paper applies the system science, the innovation economic and the region economic to analyzing the regional innovation system including its function in improving the regional economy, upgrading the regional industrial structures and forming regional competitive advantage, its components, its operation mechanism and its construction. Furthermore, the paper makes some investigations on the establishment of the regional innovation system in Wuhan , and puts forward some suggestions and helpful measures.
