Analyses And Appraises Studying In Urban Competitiveness Of The Typical Cities Of China

This text is based on urban geography, and the author have drawn lessons on the multi-disciplinary theory and method of studying from economics, ecology, resource etc., and studied from the multi-disciplinary angle, polarized the concept of the urban competitiveness, and to deeply probe into basic theories, such as essence, influence factors, structure, motive force operating mechanism of the urban competitiveness, etc. And structured a set of indexes system of appraising urban competitiveness according to certain principles, and used the main composition analytical method to appraised the urban competitiveness of the 24 cities, and have probed into the current situation of Chinese urban competitiveness, pointed out the key factors of which influencing the current situation of Chinese urban competitiveness, and the author proposed some suggestions to improve the competitiveness of Chinese cities. And the author pointed out deficiencies and advantages existing in the urban competitiveness of Zhengzhou city through comparing with analyzing, and finally proposed countermeasures of promoting the competitiveness of Zhengzhou city.The full text includes six parts. The first part is the foreword. Basic theories and progress for research have been introduced in this part. The concept of the urban competitiveness was defined, the research general situation was summarized according to studying themes, and the existing problem while studying was pointed out. And the current situation of China cities has been pointed out, the principles of choosing typical cases has been put forward, and 24 cities in China have been chosen as the cases of studying according to the principles in this part.The second part is the analysis on the influencing factors of the urban competitiveness of the 24 cities. The structure of the urban competitiveness has been put forward, and has been analyzed from two respects of the hardware factors (the competition capital), software factors (the competitive environment) influencing urban competitiveness. The factors of the hardware includes economic strength, resident's quality, financial capital, industrial structure, infrastructure, environmental quality, city position, etc.; The factors of the software includes urban culture, urban order, urban system, government's management level, open degree, etc.. On this basis, the systematic operation motive force mechanism of the urban competitiveness has been probed into in this part. The third part is the appraisal of the urban competitiveness. On the basis of summarizing forefathers' appraising theories and methods, the principles, guiding theories and contents on appraisal of the urban competitiveness have been probed into,the index system of showing nature and index system of explaining nature have been set up to appraise urban competitiveness, And the main composition analytical method has been chosen as the main method to appraise urban competitiveness, and the 24 cities in China have been studied, the sequencing of China' s model of urban competitiveness has been drawn in this part. The fourth part is the appraisal result analysis of Chinese model urban competitiveness and the key factors that influenced the current situation of Chinese urban competitiveness. the summaries and the feedbacks of theories. The current situation of Chinese urban competitiveness has been drawn out according to analyzing the appraisal on the current situation of the urban competitiveness of the 24 cities in this part. The key factors have been probed into with the method of the coefficient correlation. And some suggestions were proposed to improve competitiveness of Chinese cities. The fifth part is analysis and appraisal of the competitiveness of current situation of Zhengzhou city. Insufficiencies and advantages in the competitiveness of Zhengzhou have been pointed out through comparing with analyzing.
