To establish a performance management is a new direction for the initiatives of managing performance. It is an entirely new and critical task for many enterprises to design and establish a performance management system which meets the needs for the enterprise to grow. This paper starts from the basic theory of performance management and MBO, and in combination with the specific practice in performance management of HaiNan Zheng Ye Company, makes an all-round study of the important roles of the MBO in the performance management.The first part of the thesis introduces the basic theories of the performance management and the MBO.The second part analyzes the present situation, the problem and the key point of the performance management of HaiNan Zheng Ye Company.The third part introduces in details how to design the performance management system in use of the MBO.The forth part evaluates the efficiency of the performance management system and summarizes the problem of the system.
