The Research Of Operation Model Of 4PL

With the development of IT, rapid changing of competent environment and globalization of economy, more and more enterprises focus on the logistics to develop their core competence .4PL discussed in this paper is put forward under this situation. The research of 4PL is in the initial stage, scholars now haven't a unique definition of 4PL.Some scholars have researched 4PL from different directions, but haven't made system theory. The goal of this paper is to make a system research of 4PL, in order to make people recognize the importance of 4PL, and hope to provide a guide to some enterprise.According to the operation economy environment and modem company management theory, this paper describes the 4PL how to come into being .After summering the different definitions of 4PL, analyzing the characters of 4PL, and comparing with 3PL,this paper give a clearer definition of 4PL. This paper also analyzes the mechanism of 4PL in detail, and describes the basic ideology, foundation and prerequisite. This paper focus on the analyst of operation model of 4PL, including the basic ideology, goal, object, content, and the organization model of provider of 4PL, especially the operation pattern. Three operation patterns of 4PL are described in detail in this paper, and a case is given to prove the feasibility of operation patterns.At the end of this paper, we describe the perspective and analyze the problem of 4PL, and give some advice to develop 4PL.
