As a private enterprise specialized in the development and production of natural mineral water, Henan Yuntaishan Mineral Water Company Limited once boasted sound performance before 2001. In the absence of scientific strategic management, the company was unable to reasonably judge the situations it was in and adopted unwise management policies, which in turn resulted in a slowdown in its growth. In view of this, this thesis is aimed to help the company to increase Us core competence and ensure its sustainable development by implementing scientific management.This thesis consists of four parts. Part One presents an introduction to Henan Yuntaishan Mineral Water Company Limited, including in particular its current strategy and disadvantages of its strategy. Part Two is the main part of the essay, and offers an analysis of the company's conditions, its business competition environment, the key factors deciding its success, and its comprehensive capacity. It also expounds on the opportunities and possible threats facing the company, its weaknesses and its strengths. Part Three based on the analysis, the thesis puts forward the new development strategy for the company: concentrating on the production of mineral water. This development strategy enables to the company to bring its strengths into full play and grasp the opportunities offered by the market. Focusing on its major business, the company can gradually develop and possess its core competence, and attains its sustainable growth. Part Four contains a detailed proposal for the company strategy implementation.By integrating theory with practice, the author of this thesis has applied a wide scope of knowledge gained in his MBA courses in this strategy study to resolve the major problems hindering the healthy development of the company.
