With the our country's entry into WTO and the formation of the global economic pattern, more and more people realize that the intense competition of the international hotel markets in the 21st century will swallow the living space of the internal monomer hotels step by step.The only way out for the internal hotels joining in the international markets is to set up or join in hotel management groups and make full use of the advantages of the scope economy.The enterprise groups are the products of the need that conforms to the mass social production in the course of the transition from the free competition stage to the monopoly competition stage.The hotel industry of our country is now faced with very stern problems:the internal hotel groups are of small-scale on the whole,small as far as our country is concerned,and are a long way to go if they are to catch up with the international large-scale tourist enterprise goup.This essay is a discussion of the trends of the development of our country's tourist hotels in the new century,the present situation of the development of the internal tourist hotel groups and the existing problems.On the basis of the analysis of those facilitating and hindering factors in the development of our country's hotel groups comes up at the end of the essay with some strategic alternatives that are derived from the impact of the international hotel groups on the internal tourist markets and that bear Chinese characteristics.It is only in this way that our country can take advantages of our strengths and avoid our weaknesses,forge the"aircraft carrier"of our country's tourist hotel groups,participate in the international competition and become one of the world's powerful nations in tourism.
