On Regional Protection Of Human Rights

Experiencing the disaster of the two world wars, the international community has realized the importance of human rights protection. For various reasons, the global international protection of human rights has been progressing slowly. Comparative speaking, the result of regional protection of human rights is much more effective. At present, domestic scholars research the issue of the protection of human rights extensively either from the perspective of international law or international politics. Generally speaking, Chinese scholars focus little on regional protection of human rights. If they have been researching on this field, they mainly devote to European or American regional protection of human rights but ignore African regional protection of human rights. There is no systematic research on regional protection of human rights in our country. In fact, regional protection of human rights has gone ahead of international protection of human rights, especially the African regional protection of human rights that has made enormous contribution to the second and third generation of affirmation of human rights. It is an effective way of the international protection of human rights, enriching the content of international protection of human rights, improving the system of subject of right of international human rights, fostering the development of international law effectively, inspiring the international protection of human rights.
