Research On Collaborative Planning Method In Software Project Management

With the rapid development of IT, the need for new application software from clients and market is changing everyday. Under these conditions, software product must be developed faster with better function, capability and quality. It's important to strengthen project management for software enterprise to upgrade its competition. A good software project management starts with a good planning. But nowadays many projects failed because of the lack of correct method to schedule and control its plan. This paper studies the solution for the above problem.Chapter one of this paper explains the basic concept of project management, concludes the necessity and contents of software project management, especially with its organization. Chapter two describes information resource planning (IRP) which is more fit for the situation of China from its theory resource, solution, technique, model, standards, and etc. to supply a background for the theory and method in the following chapters. Chapter three generalizes methods of workload estimating, project planning in software project management and gives a comparison. Under the direction of theory, combining experience of project management, Chapter four brings forward an effective solution for software project planning and controlling-collaborate software project planning frame. This frame describes the detail criterion on how to schedule and control the plan in software project, emphasizes the importance of collaboration and gives its detail methods.In an example of Information Resource Planning project in Lingdong Nuclear Power Station, the collaborate software project planning frame is successfully applied which validate its effectivity and feasibility.The author believes that planning and controlling software project based on the frame will be helpful to the implementation and success of software project.
