The enterprises are the main body of the market, the competition is carried throughout their life cycle. So an firm that can survive and develop in the market must possess the relevant competence. Through reforming and opening up to the outside world for more than 20 years, China's market-oriented economy is deepened day by day. How to face competition is a question which every business must answer. In the time of the economic globalization, if the Chinese enterprises can survive and develop in the fierce international competition, the only way is to strengthen the all-round competence.C. K. Prahalad and Gary Hamel published The Core Competence of the Corporation in Harvard Business Review in 1990, in which they put forward that the core competence is the source of keeping continuous competitive advantage. Since then, the theory of the core competence was researched extensively in the world, and the rich achievement has been made. Now the people realize that the enterprise can get the lasting competitive advantage and obtain long-term sustainable development after forming their own core competence. Based on the basic theory of the core competence of the corporation, a systematic and overall study on Lolo Group-one of the top ten beverage manufacturers of China was made in this paper, in which the external and internal factors of Lolo Group were analyzed deeply, the core competence of Lolo Group was evaluated, the principle and structure of building the core competence and the strategic target and measures on the basis of the core competence were raised. The purpose of writing this paper is to provide the reference for the sustainable development of Lolo Group, and for other enterprises paying close attention to the core competence.
