The factors of the corporate core competitive strength are incorporated by knowledge and technical system, organization and management system, corporate culture system and corporate regulations system etc. By way of the theoretical explanation on the core competitive strength, we are introducing the analysis on the core competitive strength of Fuxin Coal Mine and our thought on the cultivation of the strength. Through the analysis on the current status of Fuxin Coal Mine and its core competitive strength, we have given explanations on the contradictions and problems during the development and competition of Fuxin Coal Mine. They are mainly embodied as: there are too many poor and old pits; the production ability is too low; the rate of assets and liability of the company is too high; the company lacks too much fund for business operation; the company has too much deficiency. So it lacks follow-up strength for its development; the industrial and product structure is not reasonable. The coal industry in the whole bureau occupies 84%, and the proportion of non-coal industry is too small; the industrial structure is unitary; the scientific content and added-value is too low, thus lacking competitive strength in the market; the second industry has a over-large proportion, which are mainly the collective enterprises; the product structure is not reasonable: coal products occupy an over-large proportion, and the non-coal products occupy a considerably small proportion. The company employs too many persons but achieves low efficiency, and it also lacks the corporate culture that is beneficial to the development of the company.While analyzing the disadvanges for the competition, we have also given a further analysis on the advantageous factors. Viewing from the market chance, the price of oil and coal is rising, and the state is now regulating the illegal and unreasonable coal mines, and cutting down the total volume of the coal, so the coal market is booming. Viewing from the corporate competitive advantages, firstly, the resource advantage still exists, although the coal reserve for open mining is seriously insufficient, the reserve for underpit mining is still rich. Secondly, there is guarantee for consolidating and increasing the productivity of the mines. Thirdly, there is great latent capacity for developing the resources. There are two integrated coal fields, which offers guarantee for the sustainable development of the mining area. Fourthly, there is a wide market for the product and great productivity. The type of the coal will have a good market, and it is also suitable for mining by machines. There is still some latent capacity for coal production. The fifth is policy support from the government in each level.
