Study On Stock Company Management Structure--A Network Analysis Mode

The social network theory has been used mainly in the research of sociological problems, and, basically, remains within the pure sociological study scopes, which greatly restrict the further development of the social network theory. In fact, not only can some social phenomena be understood and analyzed with the help of the social network theory, but also the social network theory can be used effectively to analyze enterprises.The stock company, as an important component of the Chinese stock market, is playing an ever-increasing important role. Our country's first stock company - the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone Stock Company - was founded on January 2, 1985. Ever since then, for only about a dozen years, stock companies have development with enormous speed from the scratch to large scales, and they have become an important force to expedite the healthy and speedy development of our country's stock market. Currently, along with the advancing standardization, market mechanism and internationalization our country's stock market, with the fast economic globalization trend and the WTO accession, our country's economy will be further integrated into the world economy on the large scale and deeper layer. This has brought about significant changed to the survival environment of the stock companies. The governing structural concerns the survival of stock companies, so it is the core of this paper to discuss how to master the governing structure problem from the viewpoint of networks.This paper is divided into four parts. Part One is the introduction that covers research background, literature review and theoretical run-down. The literature review states in detail the theoretical significance and the practical significance of applying network theories to studying stock company development. Now the study of enterprise organization structures with network theories is in the ascendant and has become an enthusiasm. However, the number of papers probing into stock company management structures with the help of network theories is very small, so the author holds that this paper is of exploration and creation.The theory tracing part traces the development history of the social network theories. It introduces some relevant ideas. Mark Granovetter raised the theory of network point. He divides the relation into two. One is strong-tie relationship and the other is weak-tie relationship. Pierre Bourdieu, a French scholar, proposes the social capital notion in the 1970s. The ideas of trust by Emile Durkheim and some others; The ideas of conflict by C.W. Mills and others.Part Two deals with the development of social networks and the stock company. First of all, it reviews the development of the stock company briefly, and then it focuses on the stock company development as the core, namely, the internal management and external management structures. It applies the social network theories to the analyses of the stock company development in terns of network factors, and it put forward the core problem of the stock company - study of management structures.The stock company's social network relations can be divided into formal network and informal network. These two sides infiltrate and interplay each other, and they play an important role in acquiring stock company's social networks, so as to promote the company's development. The stock company's social network structures have four features: 1. Hierarchical organizational structures of networks; 2. Development towards organizational relations and equality; 3. A multi-way network structure. 4. Interplaying information relay structure. These network relations are reflected in detail in the stock company's management structure issues, and they are key factors that have impacts on the stock company's development.
