A Study On Cost Management In Mass Building Construction Projects

House-building project management is of the common features in all project management. But large house-building projects have their own features, thus there exists some differences between cost management in house-building and cost management in general projects. This paper discusses and analyzes cost management in large house-building projects on the basis of theory and practice.History of development, its main content and effects in project management and project cost management are discussed in this paper. And problems existing in project cost management are also analyzed.In the following chapter, three factors including cost,quality and process and their relationship are analyzed; Detailed discussion on how to co-ordinate project cost management and quality management, and process management is also made.In the fourth chapter several means of project cost management are introduced.lt includes project cost analysis,way of responsibility cost,gaps control method.And some means are applied in the following concret analysis.In the fifth chapter, by citing the project in Jiangyou railway station as an example,project cost management is discussed in detail. First the railway station project and about project section are introduced. Second, the proof of making the plan in project cost, its process, the content of project cost plan and way of making the plan are presented. And the risks in project cost plan is also discussed. Third, The principles in cost control,object and content in different stage of the railway station project are analyzed.In the last part of the paper, the author has made some advice on house-building project cost management and conclusion about the main achievements in this paper is made.
