The Research On Type Problems Encounted During The PDM Implementation

Product Data Management technology is a e-business solution for the manufacturing enterprises, the PDM system is the basic platform of the information integrating framework, and its implement is a very complicated work. Based on analysis of its origination, evolvement, and major functions, here emphasis is focused on the study of its modeling in operation of PDM, integration of PDM and appliance software, and management of its users' authorization. The integration can ensure PDM system to realize its functions, and the modeling of PDM is a main task for implement of PDM, and the management of users' authorization can make the data of PDM safe. Aiming at the above-said, here main research works as follows:(1) After analyzing the methods and points of the PDM modeling and points of similar structure, the writer presents modeling process of an example of data model. For example, in the practical project the writer attended, we successfully completed modeling of the corporation information, which made sure successful operation of PDM system of the corporation.(2) Study on three models, encapsulation, program interface and integration, of integration of PDM and appliance software. Analyze of their respective points; summarize the requirements and methods to be adopted in the integration. In the project attended personally, the reflecting relationship was established between products data and PDM information model and the management of products design data was in smooth operation in SmartTeam system.(3) Study the function of products structure tree in PDM system, explain its significance of saving historical files in PDM system. Following requirements from different enterprises, present arithmetic of automatically creating products trees, develop general program with the application of interface model.(4) Have worked on two methods adopted in management of users' authorization; explain their respective characteristic and drawback. According to requirement from project and to point of PDM system, the second development is carried out on the basis of SmarTeam.adopt two methods to manage users' authorization.
