The Research Of Comprehensive City Competition Power

The research of comprehensive city competition power is popular in the world today which can offer a city or region relatively complete assessment of index system. Also the research weighs in practical and reference use.Until now, there is no common statistical standard for the city competition power in the world. Hereby, the thesis tries to set up a Chinese -styled statistical index system with general international rules. In the argument, reference data will be abstracted from the research result of national city competition power and comparison between GZ and other cities in social and economic development issues and difference will also be made which better promotes the comprehensive competition power of GZ.The thesis includes four parts:Part I: Summarization of GZ social and economic development. It reviews the achievements of GZ in respect of general economic power, economic structure arrangement, commercial communication, foreign economic exchange, city infrastructure construction and people's living standard, etc.Part II: GZ city competition power and its national rank. Thirty sample cities are selected, twenty three of which be measured by comprehensive competition power with synthesized scores and ranks from stratification and factor analysis.Part III: Existing problems and issues to be improved through measurement of economic operation, technology development level, cultural and medical investment, utilization of foreign fund and human resource, etc.Part IV: Suggestions that contributes to the promotion of GZ comprehensive competition power. It analyses the reality of GZ industries, the third industry, foreign trade, social development.
