Improving The Core Competency Of Chongqing HI Co.By Using The Theory Of Supply Chain Management

With more and more great impacting of globalization economic on China market economical, especially after the WTO entrancing of China, a large number of competitive multinational companies entering China market. It is becoming more and more issue for how the local enterprises to participant the globe competitionThe theory of supply chain management is attracting more and more concern. It has not been widely adopted to use the advanced theory to guide commercial activity in China, especially in western corporations. This thesis focuses on the discussion of enhancing the core competency of western corporations.The external environment, inner condition and marketing opportunity of Chongqing HI Co. were systemically discussed by using supply chain management, SWOT methodology and Five Force model. The factors that affecting the core competency were found out. Then this paper analyses existing supply chain status of the company, think that the company is in a strong supply chain environment, but without key competence is the key factors for the company's development. The scheme to solve the problem is as follows:â‘  New concept of supply chain management should be built up inside the corporation,and how to do this ; â‘¡excellent managing-selling system should be established; â‘¢ the corporation should keep the cooperating relationship with manufacturer and retail.We have good results after using our countermeasure in HI Co. for example, capability lift in quality, cost and delivery, Judging mainly from economical benefit, the scheme works well in practice. The direction for HI Co. to improve core competency is clearer.
