The Orientation Of China's Agricultural Trade Policy

The purpose of this thesis is to explore such issues concerning China's agricultural trade policy as how to protect the domestic market, lessen the negative impact and encourage the sustainable agricultural growth to support the sustained and stable development of national economy while complying with international rules. In the course of the positive study, the analyses are both quantitative and qualitative, which deal with the current agricultural trade policy and the impact of China's entering WTO on it and touch upon the agricultural trade pattern and comparative advantage as well as trade competitiveness of main agricultural products. By comparing the domestic agricultural products protecting policy with the interiational one, the former's weakness is brought to light. This thesis attempts to propose some adjustments to realize the transformation from trade measures to domestic support. With the hope to rebuild the domestic agricultural trade policy, the paper puts forward workable measures on the imports and exports management and the domestic supporting policies improvement.
