Comparative Research Of International Competitiveness Of Jiangsu And Zhejiang

The article is trying to analyze the fundamental essentials that determine international competitiveness of Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and summarize ways in improving it.1. The article centers on three objects that closely contact one another and their contents entirely consistent, namely, a conception, a model and a method. Analysis of them makes the theoretical basis of the article.A concept: Namely the concept of international competitiveness. Due to different focal points, methods and theoretical basis in the study of Competitiveness, different research institutions render different definitions about international competitiveness. This article mainly starts with the point of view of the World Economic Forum(WEF) and International Management Development(IMD), on that basis, I generalized my own definition of International Competitiveness.A model: Critically inheriting from IMD and Baud competitiveness model and focusing on the object of international competitiveness in areas within a country, the article creatively advanced the model of Region International Competitiveness Model with characteristic.A method: Exerting comparison analysis and aiming at international competitiveness of Jiangsu and Zhejiang, the article makes a deep analysis of institutional, cultural and environmental factors.2. On basis of the theoretical frame that systematically unifies the concept, the model and the method as a whole, the article focuses on analyzing the three facets influencing Jiangsu and Zhejiang international competitiveness, namely, market competitiveness, industry competitiveness and enterprise competitiveness, and compares the advantages and disadvantages, and predicts their trends.Market competitiveness, one of factors composing region international competitiveness, includes foreign trade competitiveness, foreign capital utilizing competitiveness and economic extroversion competitiveness. Industry competitiveness is core of international competitiveness. Enterprise competitiveness determines industry competitiveness, thus determines the strengths of international competitiveness. Improving international competitiveness is the final goal of one country or area development. Whether enterprise or industry competitiveness, their final goal is to enhance international competitiveness.3. Finally, I put forward some opinions and suggestions on improving international competitiveness and make in-depth analysis of some problems and deepen the theme of the article.Many factors affect international competitiveness. I choose and analyze some essential factors according to practice in Jiangsu and Zhejiang. There are also some shortcomings in the study, I sincerely hope the experts point them out so that they can be corrected.
