Study On Theories And Methods Of Firms' Knowledge Management As Well As Its Performance

From 1999,studies and practices about knowledge economy derived from macroscopic to microcosmic area. And the academy community began to study the microcosmic base of knowledge economy-issues of knowledge management in the enterprises. And the area is also actively exploring how to make knowledge management to face the challenges and chances of knowledge economy. Office of management science in the National Natural Science Fund Committee takes "studies on problems of knowledge management in the enterprises" as the 2000 encouraging research field. Later, domestic academy community raised a high tide of studying knowledge management, and it extended to the community of enterprises and caused a wave of practicing knowledge management in the enterprises.The article attempts to clean up the studies in and out of China in the past five years, to find out the venation of knowledge management in the enterprises, and focuses on the theories and methods of knowledge management in the enterprises and its evaluation of effects. This article tries to answer these questions and make some conclusions:(l) After widely reading literatures in and out of China and exactly knowing the basic definition, types and attributes of enterprises' knowledge and knowledge management, we discussed what is the connotation of knowledge management in the enterprises and what it includes. What are the main methods and technology for the enterprises to make knowledge management? How to improve the effects of knowledge management in the enterprises? (2) As the studies on knowledge management cover a lot of subjects, we studied and answered an important academic question: what is the theoretic skeleton of knowledge management? How does an enterprise realize organizing study and set up a study organizing structure. (3) Knowledge management in the enterprises is a wholly new thing not only in the theory but also in practice. There are a lot of systems of study and management being probed, so we tried our best to deeply analysis the goals, principles and the main process of Knowledge management in the enterprises. (4) Through answering the questions to the problems above, we have done further study on the evaluation of effects of knowledge management in the enterprises andestablished a theoretic base of index system of the evaluation of effects of knowledge management in the enterprises by using the theory of evaluation of effects and methods and studies on demonstration.By introducing the theory and methods of evaluation of effects and reading a lot of literatures about knowledge management, we have found out the relationship between knowledge management in the enterprises and enterprises strategy, the effect of the upgrade of knowledge management in the enterprises on the improvement of enterprises' performance. And from the interactive relation we revealed the key elements that are critical to the performance of knowledge management in the enterprises. The analysis on the consequence can be used to instruct the practice of enterprises and is beneficial for improving the effects of knowledge management in the enterprises.This article is generally divided into three parts: first, it makes a brief introduction of the theory and demonstration of knowledge management in the enterprises in and out of China, expatiating and clarifying some conceptual problems about the knowledge and knowledge management in the enterprises. Second, on the base of theoretic deduce and description of the theoretic skeleton of the knowledge management in the enterprises, it did further study on the content of knowledge management in the enterprises. At last, it analyses how the performance of knowledge management in the enterprises is showed through various index, and established a scientific and reasonable index system of knowledge management in the enterprises and on the base of study on demonstration it made some advice on how to improve the performance of knowledge management for the enterprises.
