Research On Comprehensive Development Evaluation Of The Region Of BoHai Sea's Cities

Since the reform and open of China, the area economy of China which based on the commodity economy develops fast. How to layout the area economy effectively has become an important step of expediting the reform of planning system. In this environment, research on economy area development evaluation has become the discussed hotspot in the area economy scope. The aim of this paper is giving some contribution to the evaluating method of economy area's comprehensive development through establishing the evaluation system of comprehensive development of BoHai sea's cities. The chapter one is preface, which introduce the research background, research significance and the structure of this paper. In chapter two, mainly introducing some theory related to the area economy development and city's comprehensive development of in detail. Then it introduces some factors which have important effect on city's comprehensive development. The chapter three explores the establishment of city's comprehensive development evaluation system and introduces the theory and method of the establishment of index system. Based on this, we choose four 1st layer index they are economy development, society development, spirit and civilization, environment and basic construction and more than twenty 2nd layer index such as annual GDP, city employment ratio, population density and so on, and establish evaluation system of the region of BoHai sea. In chapter four, according to the statistical data from 1997 to 2001, we use Principle Component Analysis method and software SPSS to calculate the score of city's comprehensive development and related index. In chapter five, we draw the development trend charts of each city based on the calculated result. Then, we analyze the development situation and trend of the region of BoHai sea and its sixteen cities. By virtue of some related material we analyze the problems that occurred in each city's development process, and give some advice accordingly. In chapter six, we take a new method named Four Index Trend Analysis Graph to analyze city's comprehensive development more directly.
